Data Integration and Management

GeoMedia Curator is the innovative solution to the storage and maintenance of feature data and is specifically designed for geospatial intelligence community members whose tasks involve the integration, validation, and maintenance of feature data from various sources. Designed to accept data collected from the GeoMedia Topographer solution for data capture, as well as data obtained from various other methods, GeoMedia Curator provides a database-centric solution for geospatial intelligence data warehousing. The solution addresses basic warehousing objectives while providing methods to solve some of the new challenges becoming apparent as this storage methodology evolves. GeoMedia Curator handles the tasks of data integration, data validation, data management, and database management as they are related to the production system.

GeoMedia Curator is the second component within Intergraph's Geo-Intelligence Production System (GIPS). The Intergraph GIPS is a comprehensive environment for the collection, validation, management, and exchange of feature data to rigorous specifications such as those defined by governing national intelligence agencies. The system is flexible, scaleable, extensible, open, and interoperable, allowing for collaboration among military and civilian agencies and their contractors and customers. GIPS enables the efficient collection of geospatial data and provides tools to ensure that the resulting product meets its intended specification. Data can be collected using a variety of strategies with the potential for worldwide coverage. The GIPS encompasses:
