PROVIDING GEO-INFORMATION ...

The choice of true professionals

GeoMedia® Transportation Analyst

Intergraph's GeoMedia Transportation Analyst provides the key geospatial technology to help professionals in departments of transportation (DOTs), rail companies, waterway agencies, and pipeline operations to efficiently analyze the transportation infrastructure. The analysis capabilities allow these customers to track information about their networks and perform specialized analyses of this information to help make better decisions about public safety, maintenance priorities, and expenditure of funds.

GeoMedia Transportation Analyst's LRS Analysis with Dynamic Segmentation capabilities, provides determination of, for example, the location of dangerous traffic conditions, analyzing the root cause, and making appropriate improvements. Practical applications of this capability can lead to immediate improvements in the transportation network.

GeoMedia Transportation Analyst's Routing Analysis capabilities enables optimizing the value of vehicles and personnel in the field, planning contingencies for problems such as damaged pipelines, assuring proper coverage for emergency response services, and finding the most efficient route to the facility. Capabilities include finding best path and closest facility, analyzing coverage of emergency services for a portion of the network, and creating navigation directions between stops.

Key features
Analysis
Analyze linearly referenced data to identify trends, locate areas that need attention and search for root causes of problem situations

This picture shows a thematic of dynamically segmented accidents that uses different symbology based on accident severity. This picture shows the Event Overlay capability. This example shows an intersection overlay of areas that have high traffic volumes but few lanes. This can help identify areas with potential congestion problems. This picture shows our offset dynseg capability, the ability to offset the display on either side of the centerline. In this example the pavement conditions (5 is very good, 1 is very poor) are shown on one side and the pavement type is shown on the other.

Dynamic operation
Most functions are dynamic in nature and assure that changes to the input data are automatically reflected in the output. For instance, accident data can be located on the map using dynamic segmentation and then thematically displayed according to accident severity. Now, if more accidents are added or existing accident data is edited, the thematic display is automatically updated to reflect these changes.
