Delta consists of tools for digital maps production.

Package is developed by GeoSystems, company known by production of photogrammetric systems, high quality photogrammetric scanners and cameras, as well as software for professional digital maps production.

Work in hybride raster and vector environment during vectorization of cadastral maps:


Processing of DTM (Digital Terrain Model) is based on collected spot heights and break-lines. DTM can be prepared in following formats:

  • TIN, or
  • GRID

Creation of DTM is fast also for large amount of input data.

Based on DTM, client can develop contour lines based on input parameter of equidistance.

It is possible to remove contourlines on areas covered by structures like buildings and roads.


  • Parcels and their parts can be created based on parcel boundaries and landuse boundaries. During this process, software automaticaly calculates parcel areas.
  • Automatic numbering of large number of parcels can be done automatically, based on defined rules - initial parcel numner and direction and order of automatic numbering.
  • Client can prepare list of parcels with their parts and area using routines for preparing reports.
  • There is a possibility for automatic transfer of legal parcels area from cadastral database and their comparison with areas derived from vector maps.

Maps georeferencing is realized based on measurements of image coordinates of croses of map grid. Software will guide you from one to another cross based on predefined lower left corner and map size and scale. There is a system for detection of gross errors in the realized measurements. At the end of processing it you can prepare report about achieved accuracy of georeferencing.

Topology is derived automatically on client's request. Using this tool it is possible to:

  • check topologic relations of map elements,
  • to realize complete topology QC, and
  • to locate detected problem in topology on the map:


It is possible to define attributes for graphical map elements. Using these parameters you can describe features on the map in much more details.

For each attribute you can define its format, domain and style of graphical representation on the map like font type, size and color.

The latest set of topographic symbols (prepared according to national standards defined by the national cadastral agency) is delivered with the software license. Following picture presents definition of map legend using layers and map symbols:

As part of the standard software there is a Symbol Manager. Using this tool, client can define any type of map symbol in vector form.


Digitals can be used also for vectorization of utilities from existing maps.

Using combination of raster and vector map data it is recomended to use following phases during vectorization of maps of utilities:

  1. phase - work with georeferenced raster maps,
  2. phase - vectorized utilities data overlaid on georeferenced topo maps or on orthophoto maps,
  3. phase - work with complete vectorized maps

 


Integration with GPS receivers - When software is installed on rugged field computers it is possible to integrate the system with any GPS receiver using NMEA protocol. Advantage of such solution is that surveyor can finalize complete mapping project during the fieldwork. Only some minor changes and graphical layouts can be prepared in the office.
